I've taken a break from photographing weddings for many years, but in 2024, I received three different requests that I absolutely could not turn down.  John and Jennifer's wedding was one of those.

I have known Jennifer's family for so many years and grew up going to the movies at the theater owned and operated by her grandparents.  Plus, her parents were our family veterinarians until their retirement.  To say we think the world of her family would be a big understatement.

When I found out they wanted to do their engagement session at the same venue as their wedding, I was so excited.  The Edgemont House in North Little Rock is just as stunning on the outside as it is on the inside.  But as you'll see, we opted for most of their photos on the outside.

John and Jennifer's wedding was the second one for me of that weekend which was a first for me. I had never had two weddings in one weekend.  Even though it was held at such a beautiful venue, the atmosphere was anything but stuffy.  It was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable events I've had the privilege to photograph.

Thank you John and Jennifer for trusting me to capture one of the monumental events of your lives. And a big special thank you to Kori Dunlap and Bri Hamilton for assisting me as second shooters and as the official videographers for the day. They made the day even more fun!

After a very long break from photographing weddings, in 2024 I was approached by a few brides-to-be to photograph their engagement photos and weddings! These brides were almost all past high school senior clients of mine, so I had a very hard time saying NO!

First was little Miss Katelynn Miller, now Mrs. Rodney Brock. We photographed their engagement session at the exact same location as their wedding ceremony. Although it looked a little different during their engagement session, they transformed it in to such a beautiful place.  I'm sure it will be a treasured location of theirs for many years to come.

We went to the Meadow event venue in Cave City following their ceremony for their reception.

Thank you Rodney and Katelynn for the honor of being your photographer on your very special day.  And a special thank you to my second shooter for the day, Erica Godbolt! She helped me tremendously and made sure we got many images that I would not have been able to myself!

Today is Amanda's 40th birthday! Happy Birthday Amanda! Anyone that knows this vivacious lady knows that she is embracing and celebrating her 40th birthday like crazy! When she got in touch with me to do a 40th birthday session I was NOT surprised! We had so much fun and both of us really wanted to dive in to that cake, too. The air conditioning in the studio felt awesome after being out in the humidity for a few outdoor shots around the studio! Thank you so much Amanda for choosing ME to capture this fun time for you! Hope you have the best day ever celebrating YOU!

I get asked often what season is my favorite to photograph in.  And it's really hard to answer, because just getting to photograph high school seniors is my favorite and anytime I get to photograph a senior session, that's my favorite. Regardless of the season.

John's senior session was in February, in the middle of Winter. Thankfully it didn't feel too awful much like Winter.  Some seasons are obviously prettier because of the colors they bring to the landscape around us, but I do my best to find locations that work no matter what. John brought his cool Challenger to his session and downtown Hardy was just the perfect spot. We finished up his session back at my studio and where it was just a bit warmer.

Thank you Dr. and Mrs. Taylor for having me photograph John's senior portraits. It's always an honor when someone chooses me to document this time for their senior.

Have a great day everybody!

Talk about fun! It was such a treat getting to photograph Emilee's senior portraits - one session in the summer and the other in the fall.  Here are a few of my favorites from her sessions.
